    Hi,

I have inherited two pairs of Bose 301 Series II speakers and am considering if they would be appropriate in a home cinema setup. I am intending to drive them with a Denon 2805 in a 5.1 setup, one pair for the front and one pair for surround. I would of course have to locate a centre speaker and subwoofer (which would be another challenge!) but hopefully the automated setup function of the 2805 will help me through the stickier initial setup.

I know Bose 301s are mainly used for stereo sound - does my proposed setup make sense or should I just dump them for a cheap set of matched 5.1 speakers?
