Does anybody has any experience with this system? Or found a good review?

I'm about to go for a 5.1 setup (Denon 3803 with KEF 2005.2), when a friend pointed me to this new Bose stuff.
I am wondering how this thing sounds, considering it has only 2 speakers!
This can't match up with a true 5.1 setup, can it ?

By the way, does anyone has the 3803 with the KEF eggs? Any opinions?

I sold Bose systems for over a year at another local dealer to where I am now. To put it politely, they are complete pants. The full 5.1 Bose systems do a completely half assed job at home cinema and the 3.2.1. 2 speaker system doesn't even come close to that.

You should let your mate buy a Bose 3.2.1 then invite him round to check out your new seperates system to see if that changes his mind about Bose!

that is a little harsh Bose 321 is an ok system for lifestyle system esp for a small room. If you like the look of bose try a lifestyle 18 or 12 if you have a decent DVD.

It will not compete with a full rack of seperates and large speakers but for a small discrete install they are hard to beat. I do sell Bose but always advocate seperates. If £1k is max budget and you want 5.1 proper then go seperates!

321 actually has 4 speakers and uses Bose direct-reflecting technology (needs a square room!!!) Theory is good but please listen to the systems you are interested in a then decide what is better for your budget.

I heard this Bose system at the Manchester HiFi show

Now to me it seems a really good idea that just fails in the last area

Its basically a cd player, dvd player and radio all packed into one small box and it only costs 1200 pounds

When playing a music cd it sounded excellent

When playing a dvd movie the dialogue was excellent nice and clear and the front sound stage was quite good for something that only costs 1200 pounds

The problem with it is it tries to give surround sound from the front 2 speakers only and this does not work 100%. I think you would desire proper rear speakers after a while

If they were to bring out a version with 2 back speakers then I don't think this product could be faulted and it would sell like hot cakes
