    From another thread..

I thought it was only me who had boredom shaves. Used to go through the range when working away. Even had one of those ear to ear moustaches that the Victorians used to have. The scary thing about that one was that nobody commented :)

Is it just me and the Cap'n that have done this or is it more widespread?

Only done this once. Getting rid of a months growth (long holiday).
You get to a dilemma. Do I go for a Amish style beard and no tache or the goatee thingy? Also, when going through the tache stage, is David Niven or Adolf? You can't have them both.

used to when I worked in call centre or was unemployed - unfortuantly current role is a bit to serious to be anything but clean shaven - my long hair is the most that I can get away with

From your avatar it looks like you could fashion some very respectable Noddy Holder sideburns

I have to consider my shaves very carefully to maintain the work of art that is my beard

Boredom shaves would be a definite :nono: for me.

I have daft sideburns as it is, and have only been shaving a couple of times a week lately but generally go for straight out clean shaven. 2 counts of boredom shaving, both of which involved a goatee which never left the privacy of the bathroom. :)

I've not shaved for 6 days as I've been off work ill.. (altogether now - Awwww poor Shodan). So I'm starting to look like Robinson Crusoe..

Actually I've noticed that in 6 days my beard has grown more than any of the people stranded on the island in Lost and they've been there a month!!! I'm sure if I gave it a month, I'd be tripping over it!

I will start the ball rolling with what I like to call 'The chopper'.

Notably longer than the gay-lord moustache seen earlier on within the gallery. It is a nod to all things Mexican and Australia's favourite criminal! :D

    Who is going next??

    Cheers.

    Pete.

Pete, no one is ever going to beat your beards! They are quite simply, amazing!!! I reckon there are famous people from each decade in the last 200 years that would love to be able to grow and style like you do!

God bless Pete and his facial hair!!!

Not anymore! I have.. some hair on my head. Not a great deal and each day I'm sure I have less hair to wash and more face to wash...

Oh and in regards the the question about shaving the old hairy brain?

No!!! But I do keep it all trimmed pretty close down there!!! :D
