What web sites or things do you do on the net when your bored.

I'm bored too, if we both set off now, in about 2 hours we could meet half way at peterborough and then go home again, would certainly pass the time lol.

I often get caught up on youtube looking at random things.
I read a lot of webcomics, but they only pass a bit of time:
Cyanide & Happiness. xkcd. Penny Arcade. Ctrl Alt Del. VG Cats. Dinosaur Comics.
BOFH on El Reg.

I also read ScienceBlogs and look about on gaming review sites.
And a spot of browsing ebay, but rarely buying much!

Make music in ableton sometimes too.

Go to a boozer called The Compasses on Little Mount Sion, which is just off Tunbridge Wells High Street. It has awesome bar snacks & a bar billiards table. What more could a man want? The only downside is that you may never leave :D

There are over a billion pages on the internet, and yet we all get bored after an hours surfing - Jez its like Sky TV.

But I agree with others - I surf about 10 websites regularly, and then switch the PC off.

Internet = over-rated, but could we live without it.

Found a thread on a forum recently which was long - it was started in 2005 - but fairly riveting. If you're bored, pull up a cup of coffee and dive in:

Author Claims to have witnessed 3 Murders on West Coast in the 1980s - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

Basically, this fella has written a book about his childhood. His stepdad would drive around, occasionally find a stranger and, to put it bluntly, kill them. The author is trying to trace three victims and trying to get his stepdad done for them - he's still alive...somewhere. And in the last few days 'someone' has tried to drive this guy off the road near his house and taken shots at him.

That site is a whole 'nother side of t'internet I'd never seen before. The members have both collectively and individually solved actual, real-life crimes and missing persons 'cold cases'. The lengthy discussions about the McCann case are recommended too.

Mike.
