Has anyone used one? The reviews on the Boots website are great but £36 is a fair whack for something that sounds like it works on pseudo-science

What do you think? I don't know enough about the science to know whether it's snake oil.

Well, I bought one :S

It's a bit too big to surreptitiously hide in the hand but I'm not ashamed to use it at work

My cold sore is sort of at the end already but I'll keep you informed (for all of those interested )

I'd be interested in the effectivness. Cursed by the buggers. Not only are creams expensive, they can sometimes spread the sore further.

Girlfriend swears by it. She claims that it dries out the cold sore and clears it up far quicker than using expensive creams alone.

I suffer occasionally, however when it does happen I get anything between 5-15 at a time. When I was younger a doctor advised I may actually lose my top lip through their severity. Last time was in November when I only had 9 on my top lip! One of these seems a good idea even though it's only going to be rarely used.

I would be interested if this actually works as nothing really does for me any longer, cream, patches or anything.
