    Need urgent help please.

My brand new 24" 2.4ghz dual core IMac cone wrong on bootcamp installation.

Tried to install bootcamp. That done fine no problems. B/C asked me to insert windows disc. I did and then it rebooted and it went to normal windows blue instalation screen. Asked me to partition drive c and I said yes:rolleyes:. After that it installed something and it said that the computer will reboot now. after the reboot it gone back to the windows instalation and done exactly the same thing. done that 3 times, dont know why, but the 4th time nothing happened. Now mac wont boot up at all - Blank white screen - no little wheel - nothing

Put OSX disk 1 in and tried to boot - nothing - tried booting holding c holding t holding s - nothing.
I've got OSX disk in and it starts spinning - tried the option key - nothing

Please help - am now typing on windoze system...........

I had a similar probelm when my power cut out during Windows installation.

When booting up hold the command button and the P and R keys. It forced my mini to boot up properly, so hopefully it will fix your problem...

Arhh I hope so fella. Il try that when I get home.I am panicking like hell. If something has happened and it needs to go back to Apple my guess is that the warranty is invalid?:(

Shame becose I love the machine.

Well I had a go on that and nothing.:( I called apple direct and they say becose is bootcamp beta installation gone wrong they will not do anything about it.:nono: Arhhhh. Story of my life.

So I am taking it tomorrow on my local ish Apple store and they say they will have a lool there and then. They think that maybe only needs the hard drive reformat and install the OS X back. Let's hope that all what it needs.

    Let you know fellas.:(

Try the Apple Key, along with the Command, P and R when you hear the Dong, keep holding them down until you have heard 3 dongs in total.
    then release the keys.

Does booting up from the osx CD work? by holding down C when booting up?

    Ok here is an update.

I got the Imac to my local ish Apple store for them to have a look. They pressed some buttons they looked here the looked there they scratched there heads but nothing.....the machine refuses to boot.

Now they are going to send it to the tech dep to see what they can do. Fingers cross they will be able to do something:smashin:.

One thing I know is that I will not try to install the beta boot camp again till the finished version come out with Leopard next month. Then if that happens again At list Apple will cover it under there warranty.

Cheers all and I will let you know what happens.
