This is driving me crazy. Please help.

I have had cables put in for TV and Sky to 4 points at my house.

A booster is required for both pictures. When the TV booster is off the sky picture is perfect but when on its terrible with loads of interference.

Whats the problem and cure?

Cheers

Never liked boosters myself, but normally there is a gain adjustment on them. If this is set wrong the pic would be terrible!! Maybe worth checking.

Sounds like you could be overloading the input, try an inline attenuator and see if that cures it, I have seen this a lot with boosters. If you apply too much signal on an RF input you can get all sorts of intermodulation problems that will screw up the picture.

If you can't find an attenuator, PM me, I think I have some in stock.

Regards,
Andy.

Hi,

Yeah, does sound like it's boosting it too much.

I have a booster for the TV upstairs, taking the RF out of the Sky box. With the gain set right for terrestrial, it's got lots of interference on the Sky picture.
Turn the gain down so it's good on Sky, and the terrestrial is bad & snowy!
