    Hi all,

The wife is getting unhappy with the floorspace requirements of my Eltax Symphony 6 speakers, and has suggested getting a pair of bookshelves.

I'm not a huge audiophile, so I'm looking for suggestions for something around the £200 mark. I will be using them as fronts for my surround setup as well as for music.

Also, while I know the Symphony 6s probably aren't considered brilliant by those in the know (I mean, they were only £200), but could anyone give me an idea of how a decent set of bookshelves for this price would compare?

    Thanks,

    Matt

What surround set-up have you got - could be better to get the same make: same tonality, etc.?

I never even thought of that.
I'll have to check - I can't even remember what brand of surround speakers I have!

Ha! Maybe I'm not so thick, after all!
    I remembered:
My center speaker is a Paradigm, and my rears are Mordaunt Short.

Given the rears, You might want to look at the Mordaunt Short MS912- it has recieved a fair few good reviews and has a very nice sound althought it isn't very small.

Thanks - I'll check those out. Having looked on the web, they do indeed seem well received.

Now it just depends how much the wife wants the floorspace!
