Toying with the idea of getting bookshelf speakers for my main system as it looks like I may be robbed of my listening room shortly. :thumbsdow Moving to a room that is 18ft x 14ft. I think floorstanders will be a bit much.
I don't know a huge amount about good standmounts and would like to be educated.
    Cheers All.

You can get some good Monitor Audio RS 1s for £250
Very good sound, but ofcoarse they don't produce as much low down bass as floor standers; They produce just enough bass though.

Or look for some second hand Monitor Audio GR10s.
Very high quality speakers which cost (if I remember correctly) about £800 new.

Knightshade - i would recommend the new B&W 805S's as for music they are the best standmount speakers i have heard, very dynamic in there presentation and with some real weight to the bass for such a small speaker, i have listened to quite a few different speakers now and owned a few too but for 2 channel music i would not hesitate to recommend..

Thanks Recruit, Found a local shop that's stocks them. I will take a look.
It is the 'Signature' series you're talking about isn't it?

Knightshade - It is the new 800 Range which has replaced the older Nautilus series and surpasses the Signature 805 for performance and it is cheaper too.. :)

I would also consider speakers such as AE1's, LS3/5a's, Audionote or maybe the kits from Wilmslow Audio
