Hi guys!
Following my earlier post on recreating my (digital) darkroom I now have Photoshop CS, and a nice Book too: The Photoshop CS Book for Digital Photographers.
And I love my Nikon D70, so much better than my previous Sony DSC-F717 you won't believe- immediate actions, no waiting, and excellent pics.
Use it with a cheap 2.2Gb harddisk in CF Card size (sooo small!).

Now my Q is:
Apart from the above book, can anyone recommend a real PS CS bible to me?
I like a book to have lots of text and pics, not just big typesetting or half white pages to look big...you know what I mean...
I really feel like digging in...
Thanks

Have a look at Photoshop CS for Photographers by Martin Evening. It's not cheap, but it is defined as "The Bible" by many people.

I will find the ISBN tonight if you want me to.

Has anyone tried "Adobe Photoshop CS One-on-One" from amazon here

Not seen it myself - however feedback on the Amazon site is good.

I've ordered the "Adobe Photoshop CS One-on-One" book and will let you know how I get on with it.

I've read the 1st couple of photos and have learned a lot even about the basic functions and use of Photoshop
I didn't realise just how much you can do with this program, I can see me spending hours messing around with photos from now on !

Thanks everybody,
Bought the Martin Evening Bible and I like it a lot!
Wish I bought it bound, see it falling apart very soon...
My punishment for being a cheapskate...

PS
Find myself correcting horizontals all the time, didn't know it was that easy...
Now I'm going to try for convincing b & w results as in the old days...
