Is anybody else sick of this annual misery? We've had random fireworks now for over a month. it all kicked off in earnest as soon as halloween was over reaching a crescendo for most of yesterday evening, went a bit quiet but then all started up again about 11.30 last night - I was up until gone 2.30 before the dog was calm enough to leave alone then bugger me it all started up once more at 4.30 this afternoon!

I've never been an advocate of banning anything or one to try and stop anyone enjoying themselves but surely it's enough of a nuisance now for a ban on selling fireworks to any member of the public?

Rant ended, I'd better get back to comforting a not usually nervous dog.

    Stu.

    With you all the way.
Bonfire night really really gets on my t!ts. Bang, bang, bang ALL night EVERY night for weeks.

I have to temper my loathing though as I'm aware that most people seem to emjoy this anual nonsense.
I've not been to a firework display since I was 8 years old.... and it got on my t!ts even then!

Now its 10 times worse and absolutely bloomin' rediculous!
(Fortunately for my 18 year old cat, she's gone totally deaf and isn't bothered by them like she used to be).

i was just about to post a thread saying the same thing

    ill try my thoughts below:

i think the godd damn things should be banned because they are misused and dont stop for about 2 months straight and iv even heard a few go off in months such as march and may so they are defiently mistreated and i cant wait for the day they are banned and ill makesure to pray they actually do (apart from private use of course)

sad how fireworks are treated now, shows half these people are stupid ***** that get frills out of pissing people off

    rant ended!

ps: still goin off round here like its nov 5th!

We are (un)lucky enough to live next to a park, so fireworks are constant up to the middle of Nov but then they start again in the middle of Dec until early Jan.

On another line, is it still necessary to celebrate the torture and killing of Catholics who were reacting to religious discrimination.
