Wow that looks stunning - where did you get the pic from? Which region? And how many hundreds of pounds is it gonna cost us?!

40th anniversary of what?

EDIT Apparently 2002 was the 40th anniversary of Dr. No - we don't know why the 40th anniversary box set is two years late!!

Check out the interactive Flash version here: http://www.neuronsyndicate.com/

Interesting that this company are working on a Batman & Robin DVD design as well...

from the above site
Bond was created with the publication of Ian Fleming’s 1953 novel Casino Royale

Something must be wrong with my maths.

Okay !?! Don't blame me, blame MGM!

Maybe it was the 40th anniversary of Dr.No and the website is two years old... Don't know why the 40th Anniversary DVD Set is still being designed though!?!

the websites copyright does say 2002

I guess that's what it is then - my bad for not reading it properly - still doesn't explain why a 40th Anniversary DVD box set is being designed though... unless it too was two years old and was never used, but the neuronsyndicate website is right up to date as it had the new star wars pics on it yesterday... all very strange!

1954 was the year of the first production of an Ian Fleming novel to be screened Barry Nelson played James Bond(called Jimmy Bond) in the TV production of Casino Royale.
But that would make it the 50th Anniversary.

It's disappeared!

BTW: It never mentioned 40th anniversary anyway - No idea where that came from.

It was there yesterday along with all the other dvd designs... It was dvdmike who said it was 40th Anni - where'd you get that from mike?

cant say will be in so much troub if i do

Oooo - you tease!

Can you explain the fact that the 40th anni was 2 yrs ago though? Is this boxset ever going to be released or was it a prototype or something?

;)

The Digital Bits said it was a 40th anniversary design which probably never ever saw the light, often a company will design something but for various reasons it never gets released and i imagine it was an early design concept that ended up costing too much or was just too awkward to implement.

Shame...

They didn't release a 40th Anniversary boxset of any kind in the end did they?
