Hi there, problem is during quick loud dynamics during a film my amp(technics su-a900m11 shuts down so only my processor(yam e800) is still working, bloody annoying. If I set the Yam to standard not max setting for dynamics the system plays louder but has'nt enough punch. Also tried setting the LFE below 90hz to go to the sub(shame I hav'nt got one yet, money) it still shuts down. I did have a pair of TDL RTL2's but I killed them, bought Eltax symphony 6.2's but changed them for Liberty 5+'s, both pairs shut down, but the TDL's did not, dern, dern, dern. Is my amp at fault or do you think the speakers are drawing so much current they cause the amp's protective circuit to cut in. Do you suggest I change the amp, the speakers or buy a d/d amp.
Your advice/suggestions would be most welcome.
    Philmate.

Either replace your Technics, or get a new Av amp.

A similar thing happened to me recently.
I changed my speaker cables for some bi-wired
    cables.

During certain sections of films (i.e loud/dyanamic) my Sony 930 receiver would
cut out. I found that the connectors on the
    speaker cables were touching.

    Fixed the connectors. Problem solved.

I'd go for an amp with more real world clout.
