I have a set of 3m IXOS XHV804 (about £70 quids worth) component leads that I'd like to use with my new PW7. I can buy an RCA board for approx £140 and use my existing leads, or buy a BNC board for about £85 and three RCA->BNC adapters at about £12 from someone like Keene, saving me over £40.

    My questions -
    1. Will the picture suffer if I use the plug adapters on the BNC board?
    2. Anyone recommend a good source for either Board.

    TIA

BNC connectors are the professional video connector for a few good reasons. But as you already have a phono plug in the chain, it does not apply quite so much, and I would personally avoid the use of converters if possible. In short, if you use your existing leads, I would get the RCA board.

    cheers MAW.

Would it be worth getting one end of the cables re-terminated BNC by a pro?
