    Hi

    Can anyone tell me the difference between RG58 & RG59 BNC plugs,i'm looking in a catalogue and they look the same.

    rg58 are 50 ohm connectors
    rg59 are 75 ohm connectors

    Absolutely correct.
    50 ohms is generally used for communications/RF
    75 ohms is the norm for video connections.
    If you could see 1 of each BNC side by side, you could tell that the dimensions are slightly different (in order to achieve the correct nominal impedance).
