How are you connecting the two ?

With those models you have a number of options , you can go analog output from blu ray to analog inputs on the amp , this would be the "Multi Channel" option.
That requires at least Six analog RCA connections depending on whether you going for 5.1 ( 6 Channels) or more in your setup.

Then you have the optical or co axial digital outputs , those could be used but the interface cannot do HD audio codecs so those are best avoided.
These will require you to "Assign" inputs on the amp though , not usually a straightforward procedure at all , with any amp.

The Best and easiest option though , would be HDMI from BD player to amp , and the BD player should be set to "Bitstream" to the amp.

Make sure you have the right HDMI input selected on the amp , and the right HDMI input selected on your screen , and then turn on the BD player , it should be pretty much automatic after that.
