Hi there, im not too clued up about the whole bluray scene and slowly getting into it. Well I need a bluray recorder. Id like it to have the following:

Internet (doesn't have to be wifi because I can connect via ethernet)
Add ons like love film and BBC iplayer would be nice.
USB - so I can connect my external hard drive and play movies etc like I do with my ps3.
As many HDMI connections as poss I guess or you guys recommend.
3D would be nice to so that I can 'future proof' myself.

Im looking for a high quality one. I have a sony 40w4500 and absolutely love the quality of it in HD. Its just fantastic. So id like similar picture quality when watching bluray movies.

Not sure what else id need.

Isit possible to record content from my sky+HD planner onto disc?

All the info and recommendations would be hugely appreciated.

thanks in advance.

Your choices are very simple - because basically there are no choices.

There is only one Bluray TV recorder in existence at present - with variations on it according to platform and hard drive size.

See the sticky at the top of this forum section which explains the detail.

Wow didn't know that!

Take out the recording element to it, just a bluray player.

im looking at going for the Sony BDP-S570B

seems great.

The player market is significantly different so I suggest you repost in the Bluray Players section where you will get better advice and all round experience of such things.

Good luck.
