Blum soft close mechanism

Some of my kitchen cabinets have these fitted. The ones that do only have them on one hinge. I was going to buy some for the ones that are missing. From what I can gather they don't really do anything. To me the doors without are the same as the ones with, I can't tell any difference in how they close. Should there be one on each hinge i.e. 2 for each door? Can they go defective over time and need replacing?

Maybe if I should just buy 1 pack and test them.

They only close slowly for about the last 20%.
They do wear out over time, replace the hinges with this type instead.

You will get them cheaper than that, it was just the first link I found :D
Thats also for a pair, you don’t need the standard hinge
They are about £3 on EBay
