It could be like some other small cameras of this ilk, where you set the date & time just for this session by putting a certain text file, containing the current date and time in a specific text format, in the root directory of the memory card. To do this you'd need to know the specific filename looked for & time/date data layout required.

For example, one cheap camera uses TAG.TXT containing this text:

    [Date]
    2015/06/21
    13:45:00

This model looks for it in the root directory. In one mode it used just "date", while in another model the "D" in date had to be capitalised, as shown here.

Another filename might be TIMESET.TXT. I don't know if this file contains the actual date/time data, or just instructions on how to create the correct text file.

    Time reset

Connect the device to computer, open the removable disk, creat a TXT file and named “time”, then open it to modify the time.At last save the files and disconnect the device from the computer.. When you power on the device and record video, the time watermark that you reset will be in the video.

Its often worth trying the User Manual.

Yes, it seems like your first response was some what accurate. I have the same camera (gotta love those Chinese instructions) and it took me a few hrs of trial and error but here's how to do it in Windows:

    1. Turn device off, connect to computer (device on turns it into a web cam)
    2. Create new text file, save as TIMESETUP.TXT (all caps)
    3. enter date/time format as follows:
    yyyy.mm.dd hh:mm:ss
    4. Save file - make SURE you are in the root directory
    5. Disconnect and power on camera. Take a test photo and plug camera back in to your computer. If you have successfully done the above, the root directory text file will have disappeared.
