I was looking to buy a Logitech Harmony 1000 or Harmony One until I found that none did bluetooth for PS3 DVD playback...

Do any remotes exist like the Harmony range that are PS3 compatible or does it have to be two remotes +?

The cheap way is to buy a remote with infra red usb adapter. Teach the basic commands to your harmony and then you don't need the remote anymore. I got mine from Currys. The disadvantage is that you can't turn the PS3 on or off with it. Link here.

The best solution is probably one called ir2bt which you can find here.

Hooray! What a brilliant Product! I've been waiting for someone to invent this!

Thanks for that, I'd stopped looking!

I use an ir2bt to change the signal from ir to bluetooth. It works brillianlty, it turns the ps3 on/off as well which most other adapters dont. http://ir2bt.com/

Just to let everybody know that these are now available to order as he is just starting another production run of 900 units. Better be quick if you want one ;)

Finally bit the bullet and ordered one :smashin:

Me too.
I've managed to be too late on the previous chances to order. Its only pre order and I bet at order 1187 Its gonna be ages til it arrives:(

Its finally arrived today and boy was it worth the wait. It works absolutely flawlessly

Cool. Mines left Florida so shouldn't be too far away.

Does the ir2bt still work with the PS3 at 2.41?

New ones bought from now on do perfectly. Unfortunately older ones still work but if used to turn on the PS3 lose their pairing. Still work fine (including turning off) as long as the PS3 is powered on a different way.

Apparently Bruce (the inventer) is looking at an exchange or upgrade program for existing owners.
