Fiddling with my Android phone and new Bluetooth earphones, I noticed (my) 'Bravia' appearing in its list of discoverable Bluetooth devices. Googling and the manual seemed to say that this (2006) KLD V4000 had no BT capability... What's going on? Does this indicate that it's there but Sony didn't bother to write about it? The neighbour had no Sony TV. Puzzled.

Have you checked all the actual menus on the TV? Tried connecting from the phone and see if a pop up appears?

Edit - are the headphones Sony and what do they appear as?

Nothing in the menus nor in the manual. Tried again just now and no BRAVIA appeared on list (altho' phone was up close to TV). Puzzling.

Not Sony Bluetooth; a Chinese pair called Tecknet which are otherwise perfectly functional.
