BlueRay speed required?

Hi all,

I am building a HTPC and I plan on playing Blue-Ray movies on it. I can get a Lite-On 4X Blu-Ray player at $59.99 or a LG 10X Blu-Ray player at $74.99. Can I get away with the Lite-On or is it recommended to get the LG?

cheers,
Abbey

Playing the speed doesnt matter - it runs at 1x. Its ripping where the drive speed comes in. All drives have 'riplock' where the drive speed is slowed down and you dont get the full speed of the drive when ripping. The LG can be unlocked to the full speed. I'd go the LG if you intend to rip a lot, the Lite-on if its only occasional or not at all
