It is a heat reflecting windscreen I do believe , first noticed it on Renault cars a few years back .

Helps with sun glare aswell, it use to be a real pain with early sat navs though as we could never get a signal in the Van.

Stands out, is classier etc thats about all.

They are not UV reflective like Renault windscreens.

I would agree with this. My laguna was far more reflective of the sun, but it wasn't blue glass, just tinted darker!

Plus, the anti-glare was from the mirrors - rear view and side mirrors (in my laguna and in mondeo). I beleive this is photochromatic - where they just go darker if dark outside and light shines on them. Kind of active polarisation.

Like the OP has noticed, Merc and BMW have ran this glass for a while now and it's filtering into somre Fords.

Only an option on the Tit and Tit X spec I believe with the option for rear privacy glass.
