I have had my new panny for about a week now and on the whole am incredibly happy, soooo much better than my 29" Sony CRT.

The only real problem i have is when i connect my xbox thru the hi-def kit to either the vga input or component board i sometimes get blue dots jumping around which is most irritating.
It does not happen all games, but does happen during the dashboard so it must be the plasma and not just the games.

Can anyone give me any ideas, t would be most helpful......could it be a fault with the plasma as i have never seen it before???????

Also, any ideas on picture settings, mine seem ok but you cant help wondering

Are the blue dots there if you turn down the brightness?

Only get this on my Panny when I have the brightness up with the PS2.

I get something similar on my hitachi 42pd3000. The dots you mentioned are more like speeckles and only effect certain screens inc the xbox dashboard. I have noticed that it only happens when in NTSC mode

If your just playing english games then no yours would be displaying a PAL output.

    ah ha,

I have just borrowed an xbox from somebody else and theres does not do it all. I have also just got my xbox back from microsoft because they replaced the DVD tray and have obviously made matters worse!!!!!

Interesting though that it is the xbox and not the plasma, i wonder if anyone else has done such a test.
