Hi All,

Sorry for what will probably be a stupid question....

My tv is a Panasonic TH-42PX80B. It does not do 1080p but the reviews were extremely good and because i'm sitting about 9-10ft away I wasn't too fussed about it not being able to do 1080p.

Anyway, because it does not 1080p is there any point in me getting a blu-ray player ? Will it give me a better picture/sound on my TV ?

Again, sorry if it is a stupid question.

Thanks

Hi nunnc01. :)
Blu-rays still going to give you a very nice picture even if the display is not full 1080p. :smashin:
All the best.

I have the same Panny (TH42PX80B) and can say that I have not regretted getting a blu-ray player. It's a fantastic picture, but be aware that not all blu-ray discs are equal in terms of picture quality - it certainly pays to read the reviews carefully before buying individual blu-ray releases (especially if you are tempted to double-dip).
