Hi all. As the title really, can anyone please recommend their reference Blu-Ray test disc of choice, which has an extended (preferably) sequence where the movie puts a subwoofer through its paces, just to allow some setting up experimentation. Any suggestions welcome :smashin:

    Hi!

A lot of people reckon The Incredible Hulk has some awesome long sub sequences. Maybe give that a whirl?!

Finding nemo, dara taps on the fish tank.

Dark knight rises pretty much any scene.

    Dredd, most scenes.

    Skyfall, tube crash.

    Quantum of solace, opening chase!

Tron Legacy has some low musical sections that work well for set up. Lack of extension or boominess becomes very easy to spot!

Some great suggestions folks - very much appreciated. Of the discs mentioned, I already have Inception so will give it a run this weekend. ;)

try the bit at the begining when the walls crash down and he drops into the bathtub that goes LOW!

also try opening of MI:4 in the prison when the floor crumbles away

kung fu panda- escape from the prison extreme bass when the million arrows fall and the first spear hits the chain in slo-mo (all round excellent suuround demo)

i like to use indiana jones and the crystal skull as a good use of subwoofer its subtle bass but an excellent test to see if its set up correctly
the scene in the cafe where he meets mutt, try it first without the sub then with, notice the "punchiness" in the punches, the double bass in shake rattle and roll and then the impact when he starts the motorbike, i used to use that scene when people said they didnt need a sub!
