Blu ray BDPS550 registration activation

Hi I'm not that technically minded so hope you'll bear with me! I'm trying to get Lovefilm through my blu ray player and have read on a few threads on here that you have to to to Sony's My Essentials and register. The problem is that on the Essentials site it says

1. Press the Home button on your remote control and navigate to the Network icon on the Xross Media Bar.
2. Scroll to Activate Enhanced Features and select by pressing enter.
3. Locate the Registration Code for your Blu-ray player.

I go into the Network icon but there's no 'activate enhanced features' to be found. What am I doing wrong? the player is connected via an ethernet cable and seems to be working alright as I successfully updated it last night.
