My Philips 9527 Pixel Plus telly barfed last night and I'm guessing its the tube?

Basically, I was watching some telly and suddenly the TV just goes off making a slight zippy pop noise, and the whole picture just converges into the center going green. The red standby light comes on, then goes off.

Now it won't turn on at all. Just nothing. But if the tube went would I still not get power but no picture?

I've only had the damn thing 18 months

Seen lots of threads regarding probs with this set so at least I'll have plenty of info to go on once I figure out the problem!

    Don't be so pessimistic, Knoxy!

Sounds more like a power supply fault but I'll let one of the experts advise you.

    Good luck.
