Blood And Truth - 29th May 2019

This sounds good...must admit I've still not done London heist yet. Only had VR out once in about 6 months and briefly started LH but daughter was present and the language was a bit unsuitable so turned it off and not got around to restarting it...

Will do soon enough though and no doubt get this in a future sale, certainly no urgency as barley touched FZH and not even started others like Farpoint etc. I've grabbed in other sales.

From comments this seems like a first act and given the clear marketing push for the game, it wouldn't surprise me if a follow up was to accompany the PS5 launch next year with the revamped VR headset...although no idea if that headset would even launch with the PS5 or sometime later. I'm not bothered about that as will just be booking forward to the new console being able to really push some true quality visuals through the current headset and have the grunt to allow full grid racers etc in VR.

Yeah, this game certainly is not for yun uns' to hear! But that's what I value about PSVR, I can play games privately while family can watch whatever they want on the TV whilst being in the same...albeit unsociably, lol.

BTW stay away from FZH for the moment...probably a few weeks as the game is completely broken for multiplayer after a major monitorized update and all hell has broken loose with the FZH community and the developers for the last week or so. BUT if you don't mind playing solo vs AI mode, its safe to play now and in fact its awesome in solo mode as tbh that's all I play as I am not a multiplayer gamer myself.

London Heist, will give you a good little taster of what Blood and Truth is all about but of course Blood and Truth production values have been cranked up to the max like no other VR game on ANY headset including PC VR headsets so far.

The soundtrack is on Spotify.

Ah I dont subscribe to that but I just got it on my Amazon music. I was googling and nothing was coming up for it. I guess its too new and probably not popular enough yet for google!

Well just finished the game and CHRIST ON A BIKE was this just an amazing wild ride !
The ending was just epic and had me sweating like a pig.
To me this is the game to sell the headsets ten fold it just as to be played by everyone to show them just how good VR can be.
Score for me an easy 9.5/10 just insane.

Just done the first mission and the introduction up to the weapon mods tutorial but I can already feel it's going to be the best VR game bar none.

I'm just glad no-one came into the room when I was bopping to the soundtrack during the aeroplane scene - I must have looked a right loon waving my glowing wands around!

I love it!

Everyone playing this sitting down?

I am. Due to a low hanging light fitting which would get knocked off the ceiling if I tried to play any VR standing up:D

I am. A few people on reddit were copying what the game character was doing and holding the options button to correct the view height.

That sounds like a bit of a pain. I'll stick to sitting down :)

Actually I decided to stand up after completing the main campaign and repeating the missions for collections and trophies. I had tried standing up initially during the campaign and I didnt like the jarringness of the vr crouching while I was physically standing so I sat through out which felt much better.

However, now that I am replaying the missions and attempting more tougher challenges, I am now finding that standing up is now more preferable! One reason is that I can more easily hide behind cover more easily and I just feel much more of an action hero, more free style. The initial jarriness I had with crouching/standing transitions no longer applies as I just simply got use to it.

I completed the casino mission last night -
the slow motion jump through the window, with all the shards of glass flying around you is one if the best things I've seen in VR.

Ok guys quick question here. Do I need the Playstation Move things for this?
Thanks.

Ignore. Thought I found a good deal on Moves to recommend but realised it was just a single pack. Can't believe these ancient controllers are still selling for £70. Before PSVR came out and even in it's first few months these controllers were being sold for a tenner!

I'd say £70 for 2 move controllers isn't too much and definitely worth the money taking into account the games that support them and how amazing they are with Moves (Beat Sabre, Racket Fury, Rush of Blood etc...)
Shame they aren't as cheap as they used to be though.

Totally agree that its worth investing in but I am just saying I don't blame some PSVR owners not getting them at the asking price. PSVR has come down in price and become more affrodable, in fact not a great deal more than what the Moves cost. In addition there are no PSVR bundles with Moves at present so most new PSVR owners don't have Moves and depend on games using their Dualshock. Hence why even this game has to try and support it, even though its awkward. You probably right that £70 is still worth it as the far superior Occulus Touch controllers are around £100 (for the Rift of course). I have a rift too so my thought processes are often relative to that (PSVR is my most played though). I wish it was around £50 which I think reflects their worth being a ten year old tech and be more attractive to purchase for new PSVR owners and even those owers on a strict budget.

Wasn’t there a decent move twin pack plus Blood and Truth bundle, posted on here last week? From ShopTo, I think.

Haven’t had our VR long tbh and knew nothing of this game up until recently but having read the feedback on here I am definitely going to hint at a copy for Father’s Day. Thankfully the bundle we got off fleabay had the move controllers so should be all set for what sounds like an epic game.

Must admit I am loving VR, for me a welcome addition to gaming.

I thought move controllers were £40-£50 before I saw the replies rofl.
Ouch to my wallet if I end up really wanting them soon.
