Just had a few folks round for dinner and decided to watch Blade Runner on the PJ. I couldn't believe that my copy is in stereo and is not anamorphic :thumbsdow . Checked the web and even the 'Special Edition' is in stereo. Does anyone know if there has there been a 5.1 Anamorphic version released?

Just do a couple of searches on this subject - probably one of the most wished for releases in DVD history!!
Don't hold your breath for Anamorphic 5.1!!!

    Kenny,

To be honest i think i'm with you on that one, but really any version with a decent picture and sound, that doesn't make my HC sound like a cheap all in one from ASDA.

It another shockingly bad DVD from Warners (the worst (IMO) of all the film companies when it comes to DVD)

I grabbed a less than legal laserdisc to dvd copy of the international version off ebay and surprisingly its better quality than the warners version despite not being anamorphic

What is the latest behind this then? I believe Ridley Scott wants to release it, but Warners do not right?

Once all the legalities are settled and the DVD version is relased...HDnet Movies satellite channel will air it in high-def. Now, that's really something to crow about!... :smashin:  ;)
