    Hi,

I watched a documentary on FilmFour last night, called "On The Edge Of Blade Runner" (with Mark Kermode), and it reminded me just how great this film is.

The documentary was made back in 2000, and was very different to the one shown a few months ago, to celebrate it's 20th anniversary.

However, in the doc shown last night, there was no mention of any alternate versions of "Blade Runner" other than the original 1982 version with voiceover, and the 1997 version with the legendary "unicorn" footage reinstated, sans voiceover.

So, bearing in mind Sir Ridley is supposed to be working on a third cut of the film, for an eventual DVD release, does anyone have any more news please?

    Thanks,

    Pooch

I heard something about an SE being released in around the end of 2003. Ridley Scott has already recorded a commentary.

The version that's out has pretty bad picture quality- the whole film is dark so that doesn't help either.

I would wait until a remastered one comes out.

there is gonna be a three disc dvd released later this year.

my guess is that there will be a different version of the film on each disc (like he did for Legend Ultimate ed) but with Ridleys favorite version getting a full Dts and pitcture reworkng and with the rest of the discs spaces filled with extras
