Blackout Frame or MDF?

Hi all,

Gotta build a new screens as the old Blackout frame screen is damaged, do you think I would be better off building an MDF screen over another Blackout frame? Im gonna be building it over the weekend so any help would be much appreciated

I think both have their plus points, and made well both provide great results for the money...

I went the MDF route because you can (almost) guarantee flatness. Also you can paint it white or grey etc etc hence you have options there (left mine white).

People make some very good material based screens though. I was slightly worried about ordering blackout material and finding it was irreversibly creased on delivery...PJ

Matt black paint applied with a small roller, masking tape to get it straight...PJ
