Anybody know what the differance is between the black or the silver, only there seems to be a lot more offers with the black version than with the silver one

AFAIK there isn't any difference between the two. The black/grey one is the commercial version.
Some have said that the black version helps to improve the contrast as it is less reflective.

Silver UK model comes with a scart board, this costs C.£150 extra with the black commercial model. Other than that, nothing bar the obvious!

You can get the bezel sprayed for £100. Some unscupulous dealers have been known.... Not Liam I shouldn't think though!

For some reason the PHD6 only comes in black (in the UK), unless you get the bezel sprayed.

One of the main reasons for purchasing the PHD6 was because it's PC performance is very good.
I checked the PW6 against it and the text was fuzzy, the PHD6 has very clear text. Then again it does have the advantage of native mode 1024x768.
One small warning, there are running fans on it. No buzzing audible from the transformed though.

The downside of the native res. is of course that it shouldn't be a 16:9 shape. It alters the shape of the text, and any images you display, making everything wider than normal. But nonetheless, it's 100%sharp, you could even use the DVI board here and be pixel perfect. Just have to remember that distortion is there. DVD software on pc's can be told to compensate, so no problem there, just text and web content.

MAW, you are of course correct.
That said, I noticed no issues with my PC on most webpages, possibly if I use it on a daily basis I may notice the difference in shape.
I was just pleased by the 100% sharpness.

    Steve.
