Ok, weird one I have everything working for plaayback and thumnails working for everything else (avi, mkv etc) but while I have mpg thumnails in explorer media player etc I get just black tiles for mpg files in Media center. (the first frame isn't black either, though media center seems to use a frame about 4 secs in for all other files) the same goes for explorer but mpg thumnails are ok there.

Any ideas as to cause or a solution? can't understand why mpg thumnails are ok everywhere but media center. Surely if it was a codec issue they would be messed up everywhere.

Are you running IE7? It is a known problem with IE7 and album art for some strange reason. If you bin IE7 and install Firefox the black squares should disappear like Kaiser Soze!

I am running internet explorer 7 but I'm not having any problems with mp3s or cover art just mpg, nor am I having any issues with windows explorer. I'm only getting black thumnails for mpg video files in windows media centre.

Any ideas for a fix anyone?
    :lease:
