Black material for rear projection?

So I've left it late (as usual) for Halloween decorating and this year I'm going for a front door & hallway installation on top of what we usually do. I'm using a cheap Chinese 1080p projector rated at 6500 lumens. I was going to cut a white translucent shower curtain into the size I need. The idea is, when the door is opened to trick-or-treaters, an AtmosFX animation will play (the twin girls from Ghostly Apparitions 3 look like a favourite 😁) in a totally dark hallway. But the shower curtain is a bit light for the full effect. But it'll have to do this year.

So I want to get the jump on next year, but I don't know what the best sort of black material would be to do what I want. I need it just transparent enough to let the image show, without the projector lens being visible.

Any suggestions?
