Black lines on my LCD?

Hi, my first post on here! I always browse these posts for loads of valuable info but now I need specific help.

I have an old panny 26" lcd(TX-26LXD1 - I think!) and recently I started getting like a black line bleed from the right hand side. Its about 10mm wide and stretches right across the screen. Now I have another 2 simillar lines one above and one below the original. These new lines are not as prominent and only go 3/4's of the way across but are getting worse everyday.
My question is I have Dom & Gen extended warranty, does anybody here know what the likely outcome of a claim might be? What I mean is in anyones experience can this sort of problem be repaired or do I need a new panel and are Dom & Gen pretty good? I have never claimed before.
I was looking at the new TX-37LXD800 as a replacement.

Hi all! Not much response last night ... anyone this morning able to shed some light on dealing with Dom & Gen or anyone purchased a TX-37lxd800 and willing to give any opinion on the set?
