Black LED's - has anyone used these?

I'm keen to get hold of some samples of this new technology and wondered if anyone is aware of any UK stockists.

These revolutionary devices absorb light where it is not wanted - e.g. light leakage through curtains/blinds/skylights in a Home Cinema room, photographic dark rooms etc.

The black LED (Light Engulfing Diodes) strips are available in 5m lengths and consume around 1.5 joules of energy - however this can be reduced significantly by parallelling with a 1000uF flux capacitor, available from electrical retailers.

Developed at Basingstoke University by the team in Advanced Photon Research In Luminescence 1 division, this is certain to put the north Hampshire town on the world technology map.

If only I could have got on before noon, I'd definitely have been interested in some of these ;)
