    Hello,

I'm building a new Windows Media Center System, mainly from bits left over from my last pc upgrade. I'm going to use Freeview, and want to record while watching, etc so require 2 cards, and have decided from opinions found in this forum to buy the Black Gold's.

I've done a good search around, and found the cheapest here:

    http://www.gta-ltd.co.uk/

They send 2 for £106.20 inc VAT and delivery.

The site doesn't feel right to me, has anyone used them? Anywhere more reputable, and cheaper anyone know of?

Theres no rush to buy these, as I need to run some tests with my setup using my old Nvidia 5600, am waiting for a new disk drive to be delivered before the install.

    Thanks,
    Jon

The Sweetspot MCE is the same card, they were doing a discount for forum members.

I know what you mean about the site but I bought a black gold jobbie for my beloved (grrrrr) MCE HTPC and it arrived but a few days later. Everything was fine and what I liked about the company was there attention to detail and potential upgrades.

And everyone else on here said how wonderful the cards are :)

Which reminds me..... I must install it soon!

If you’re not sure about the web site why not buy it direct from the manufacture

    http://www.blackgold.tv/products/digital.htm

I have one small complaint about the card though and that’s that some times you get stutter, not sure if anybody else has experienced it or found a cure?

Stutter is an issue with this card. I'm also getting blocking after prolonged watching. I've been reading that external tuners are less prone to this as they aren't affected by the internal electronics of the PC.
