Black Diamond 30" LCD

I am looking at purchasing a 30" LCd from Mitsubishi Black Diamond I have got one at an excellant price. Any experiences with them anyone

Don't. Unless it's about £250. No pedigree, no backup, if it breaks, bin it....

Not that good a price for a 30" LCD and Mitsi has been in the display game for ever but are only in the computer display and projection side in this country I think.

No.... LCD forum mate. These Mitsubishi panels are not very special. But if you want to spend 1000 quid on it please carry on.

You could do a lot better...

Thanks Alot will probably go for the 27" thomson instead its a 100 cheaper.Just thought Id get a bit of info on the BD looks good but sounds like its not a good idea

I'm sure the mitsubishi screen isn't at all bad. They make some very good CRT and projector products, and will probably know how to make a good LCD display too. It's always hard to compare unless you see the products yourself.

I've found mitsubishi's RMA department to be very efficient when my 19" CRT deeveloped a fault. I even got a model upgrade

Mitsubishi are working on a new range of LCD's currently which look very nice, but they have no LCD backup in the UK (I seem to remember) so no support. They may not market the new ones in the UK at all.
