I am currently using Sky+ with a Scart into AV2 on my TV (Non RGB) as AV1 is being used by my DVD/Receiver (RGB SCART).
However, the receiver can take inputs from a digibox using S-Video.

When I use the S-video out from the SKY+ to the receiver, the picture is very sharp, but in black and white.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

You didn't say the make/model of your TV but the most likely cause is the setting on the TV for AV2. It needs to set to s-video - if it is set to composite then you will just get a black & white picture from an s-video signal.

If it's a Panasonic you may need to press the AV2 button twice as it toggles between AV2 and AV2/S

My TV is a toshiba 32z44b. I am not sure that there is any settings I can change to make the scart accept s video.... besides, the s-video from the sky goes into the jvc av receiver, which is then output to the TV by RGB scart
