hi all!
what is the best buy for movies from BK XXLS-400 and SVS SB12-NSD?
I read that the SVS has a bass stronger and more suited to film, while the BK is great with the music but for movies it haven't the same impact as the SVS.
confirmed?
Thak you!

For movies, yes, confirmed imo.
In fact, the SVS edges the Monolith :smashin:

hello,
The PB12-NSD is more expensive than the SVS SB12-NSD, while the SB is about the price range of BK.

But what difference would there be between SB12 and PB12?
I saw that the SB 12 is reflex, with reflex subwoofer should not be worse as the bass control?

The SB 12 is sealed.
The PB 12 is reflex (ported).

If you are suggesting that a reflex sub won't give as good control as a sealed box, you're right.

But you said it was for movies where control isn't so important.
In which case the PB12 will be better, simply because it's bigger and ported, which means it'll ultimately go deeper and louder :smashin:

Of course, if you don't like to watch movies loud, the difference is lessened.

However, the SB 12 is even better from the point of view of music for the few times I decided to listen ..
also costs less!
But can you tell me anything about BK compared to svs?

Better than what?

The PB12 will stomp (well maybe not stomp the Monolith) on any of the BK range, for ultimate depth and volume, as I've said.

It's quite simple if you want the best for films.
Go for the biggest box/driver combination you can ;)

then you tell me that the pb12 is the best choice for film, right?
But I know that the reflex subwoofer are also more sensitive in terms of positioning in the room.
I thought to combine the dspeaker antimode 8033s ..
The pb12 will not be too powerful for a 12x10ft room?

Combined with an 8033?
Which will alleviate any booms?
That's easy!
Get the PB12.

No.

There is no such thing as too powerful (within reason).
What it means is, you get lower distortion and more headroom ;)

It's all about what you are willing to pay and how big you can go.
It's hard to get away from "the bigger the better" when it comes to subs.

then 8033 + PB12 I should not have too many problems rumbling in my room?
But the PB12 has a stronger punch in the films compared to SB12, it is ok?
sorry if I ask these confirmations, but I lean to the translator of google, and my English is not good.

:smashin:

The PB12 will work very well and has stronger punch.
It's a very good choice, especially when combined with the likes of an 8033
