As promised in another thread, here are some photos of my XLS200, which by the way I think is fantastic. I am certainly no expert but I can't imagine being able to achieve much better without spending a considerable amount more money. Not bad for nothing more than a bit of furniture....eh Ian :nono: ;)

    Very nice Prometheus.

Mine is the silver forward-firing version, which I can also do some pics if anyone would like to see the finish.

I can definately confirm that the quality of finish is superb. Not to mention the sound quality :D

Excellent pics Prometheus. It certainly looks the part as a bit of furniture, blending almost perfectly with your (rather nice looking) floor.

I might be able to put up a few pics of a stack of 2 black forward firers in a few weeks.

I've decided on buying a downfiring Cherry one for the bedroom, so looking forward to that arriving. Might even use it to add more weight to the centre channel of my main setup

The finish of it looks very well done for the money.

Thanks all for the compliments, I was happy with the shots myself, although they lost a lot of the quality when I optimised them, but you can't have everything. I'd love to see some photo's of the different finishes and in fact of other manufacturers units. Maybe we could start a Sub-way gallery :rotfl: . It would be helpful to help swing a decision or check finishes before ordering.

P.S. Thanks to BK for matching their veneers with my Oak floor, the only thing is when it's set up perfectly I can't find the damn thing

There's a good number of pictures of peoples equipment in the Member's Home Cinema Gallery further down the main page. Have a look round there, comment on other people's stuff and maybe even put in your own article. :)

The on/off button looks in a silly place...do you leave it on all the time?

Yes I have been leaving mine on too. It's very well behaved, but I wonder how much carbon debt I'm attributing to world climate change

Go and plant a tree!!! :rotfl: (seriously - if you're bothered) I leave mine on constantly too and I can be a real eco-warrior at times...
Perhaps you could follow Ian J's idea and wrap it in tinsel (see his pic of his SVS). Alternatively, another idea from Ian (he must be sick of this one already) since it's a "piece of furniture" you could put a plant, table lamp or something on it to diminish the camoflage effect.

incidentally, I have a black DF and the finish is superb - looks like one of the black obelisks in 2001! I won't take any pictures since a) pics of black won't be quite so inspiring and b) it'll just show up the extent to which my 3 year old and 1 year old boys have got their sticky fingers all over it!

I checked out Ian's pic I see the Pb-10 on the floor and a piece of tinsel stretched across the wall next to it... is this what you mean. If so I have to disagree the Pb-10 can be clearly seen and is not the least bit disguised! ;)

As for the furniture incident, I think that it's perfectly understandable that he be jealous that we owns subs that look like furniture as opposed to household domestic products.....
