BK Monolith DF in black ash.

300w amp, 600w peak, book states 15hz in room (not measured the output but compares favourably with decent subs I've had in the past). Heaps of info online.

Big box sub. Other half isn't a fan and I don't want to see it become progressively marked up as a piece of utilitarian furniture.
I've put it away for now and broken out a compact box.

A few minor defects to the finish. Light rubs that have removed some colour. I have used a touch up pen on these and it looks good. There are no deep marks, knocks or dings etc.

It's heavy, around 45kg so you'll need to keep your back nice and straight lifting it anywhere.

    £250

Pictures are ok, ish. I'm struggling to shift it around properly to find decent light.

    Price and currency: 250
Delivery: Delivery cost is not included
Payment method: BT, cash of PP
    Location: Bedford or St Neots.

    I don't suppose you'd be interested in a swap for an xxls400?

Mmmm, possibly. What finish have you got on the 400?

Where are you situated and what flavour of minor defect have you got there?

Some minor scratching I think, tends to only be visible in the wrong light. I will get some pictures of course so you can judge for yourself. based in Thetford Norfolk

Right, so got some pictures taken. Not having really noticed too much before with it sitting in a dark corner, it appears as though some of the sheen of the satin is starting to wear with age I think but because of where its been in my room I've not really noticed it.

But i've photographed the worst of it with flash on for transparency but of course I understand if this affects your desire to own it.

Not sure about the weird, non-textured finish. Are they scratches on the top, or just lighting making things appear more significant.

I'm not sure mate, I'll have a think about it. How would you want to swap subs if it did happen?

There are some minor surface scratches barely noticeable until up close and one very small deep scratch on top approximately 5mm long.

The other patches I think is where the satin sheen has just started to wear through. Almost look a little like it's sun bleached but it doesn't show from where I sit because the light doesn't catch the top.

So obviously it's entirely up to you, if I was to be anal I would sand it and respray but at the moment I just don't have the time.

So of course take your time. I haven't even cleared this great idea with the wife yet but I'm sure it'll be fine :)

I would envisage meeting halfway between our houses and doing a swap over. And I would say if you werent' happy you could swap straight back as long as no damage

Long term I'm planning svs anyway eventually so this is just a stop gap for bigger bass temporarily

Sorry to jump in, if you don't end up swapping your xxls400 I'd be interested in it then you can buy the monolith. I'd have to wait until after payday (31st) but could do £250?

No worries, I'm just on a very tight budget (thats pretty much my spending money for next month in one hit!) I might message you at the end of next month and improve on my offer :)

That's about 170 miles one way, not exactly realistic for either of us. Sorry.

No thanks. I've turned down loads of offers of £200, I'd rather keep it.
In fact, having recently EQd the Monolith along with my XLS200 and been assaulted by bass that vibrates the soot out of our chimney flue, I may well keep it anyway.

Postage would probably be horrendously expensive on this, it weighs well over 40kg without packaging, which I also do not have.

OK - if the sub`s in full working order with no faults on the driver & amplifier you have a deal.

What time suits you? - a daytime collection is best for me.

    Going to private message.
