Just went on BK website!! Is the Gemini ONLY £200 ??!!!

I have a REL Q150 and the specs look V similar?

Are the the subs comparable in quality and performance?

I am thinking about using two subs in my set up (just fancy doing it) The Gemini (in black) looks superb!!

any views on the sub? looks as if it has an 8" driver, i think my rel has a 10", is this important?

If it is a similar performance i can see why the Q150 is percieved as poor value!!

I've been running dual Geminis for the past few weeks and been very happy with them. The black finish does look excellent and the subs are very wife friendly as they're fairly small. My subs replaced a 10 incher and i don't feel i've lost anything...

Customer service from BK was excellent (my first Gemini was faulty), but I returned this and got the colour changed from Cherry to Black.

Are you thinking of buying 2 of these or using 1 with your REL?

In the first instance wouldn't you be better buying one Monolith

In the second I'd rather spend the extra on the XLS200 any day, that way you can be a lot more sure of a performance boost.

I wouldn't expect to see a £500 10" REL compared with an 8" £200 BK to be honest. As excellent value for money as the BK's are I think asking it to best the REL is a bit much.

I want to keep my rel Q150 (i know i could sell it but i dont want to ! :) ). The dimensions of my rel are 290 x 330 (on plan) and the Gemini is 280 x 292 (on plan) so i plan to stack the new sub on top of the other (seperated by a slab of marble)

    My rel is about 11kg
    The Gemini is 12.4 kg

    Both have 150 watts

do you think that the added gemini would significantly add any more headroom? I only have £200 to spend and am running out of puff for movies. I will prob still use the REL for hi fi on high conection.

    good or bad idea?

I've separated them and have one either side of my AV stand. In all honesty I only have them like that as it balances out the look of the setup.

From an aesthetic point of view 2 Geminis look better in my setup than 1 bigger XLS200. I'm very happy with them and even one on it's own sounds much better than some 10 inch subs i've owned previously.
