    Hi.
New to this site so hope it helps.
    I have a Samsung UE55KS9000 smart tv.
Also just bought Bose soundtouch 300 soundtouch bar, the acoustic sub and rear virtually invisible speakers.
Been on the TV settings and give me options for hdmi audi format - ether bitstream or PCM
Then a audio format setting - there pcm, dolby or dts.
What do you recommend I have it on? I currently have them on bitstream and dts, seems to sound the best to me.
    Thanks in advance.
    Gwyner.

Bitstream and either DD or DTS is what I use.

IIRC bitstream is basically a flow of raw audio data which is sent to the Bose Soundtouch to decode into the 5.1 stream of audio.

PCM is a decoded 5.1 stream sent to the Bose Soundtouch which has been decoded by the TV itself.

Please correct me if I am wrong but I think that is the basis of it.
