Hi all , I've got an lg HD DVD player connected to my pioneer soundbar via an optical cable , should I put the setting for audio on my DVD to bitstream or pcm ?? I don't use the tv for sound whilst watching a DVD , only use it for the picture , many thanks , Dave

If you're putting sound through the sound bar then it should not matter. if you were using a receiver.then pcm the player does the decoding. bitstream the receiver would be doing the decoding i hope this makes sense
