Glad to hear that your daughter is ok Simon. My daughter Madeleine was in Booth Hall for 5 days when she was three, so I know the relief when you finally get them home.

As for parties, we had a princess party last year - which was a great success.

How's about an entertainer round with some of her friends from playgroup or nursery. You could also get a few activities going too.

Sorry if I'm not much help Si but when am I ever. :)

I agree mate, Booth Hall is a good hospital...though I got sick of eating sausage, chips and beans in the canteen. When Madeleine was in - she was eventually diagnosed with asthma - I can remember the first night she wasn't responding to any inhalors, etc...and they were on the verge of taking her to the High Dependency Unit. Me and the Mrs were in tears and were very frightened, luckily she pulled through and the nurses were great. She is now nearly 6 and has been off the Asthma medication for nearly 2 years now.

Disneyland is great....we took Madeleine to Florida when she was 4, and the look of joy on her face when she first saw Cinderella's castle at the bottom of Main Street, is a look that will remain with me forever. I actually cried at the sight of her face spreading into a massive grin and her eyes wide with amazement. Well worth the expense

Your probably right, at her age she probably isn't old enough to appreciate it. Even waiting until shes a bit older for Florida and maybe euro disney in the meantime. You can get some cracking deals with hotel etc all inclusive.

:hiya: Glad to hear your daughter is doing well. If you want to have the party away from home why not have a word with her nursery if you can have an entertainer come there. I've personally entertained at many nurseries where parents have put on a 'surprise' party for their child.

If you need a clown then yeah give us a bell. I'm in the top un-hundraad remember. ;)

:smashin: Also worth checking out is the annual clowns directory for a list of professional clowns in your area. These are the nearest to you (With Plummie the Clown nearby in Radcliffe).
