After having a torrid time trying to fit some bookshelf speakers into my front room, the idea crossed my mind that I could use bipoles placed on the rear wall placed about 5 feet above ear level. Would this be a suitable position for them as surrounds in a 5.1 system?

Also, is there any method of mounting them without drilling? I have a picture rail and wonder if it is possible to hang them from the rail and attach some thread to the rear of the speaker somehow?
