reset the bios on the motherboard.

    normal by a jumper....

    example.......

3 pins....... pin 1 and 2 rests bios....... pins 2 and 3 normal running mode...

get make / model of the motherboard and search it online.
    for a manual

unless it shows on the mobo.... that a set of 3 pins is bios reset..

take the battery off the mb, or if your lucky the company that make the laptop will give you a backdoor PW(but they may only do it if your a service centre)

Most laptop CMOS battery's are just under the keyboard, usually you just have to undo a couple of screws on the underside of the latop to remove the keyboard. These screw are usually marked differently or have a symbol on the casing next to them so you can identify them.

Just beware that when you lift the keyboard it will usually have a quite delicate ribbon cable with a small block connector that you'll need to pop off the motherboard tp completely remove the keyboard.

Easier than it sounds, honest :smashin:
