    A (few) words of advice.

If you only intend to experience this film once, then do yourself a favour and ensure that you engage the DTS soundtrack. Never has DD sounded so limp and hollow. No, I'm not just talking about bass or the level it's recorded at.... the amount of detail given by DTS is awe inspiring! :D

Yes, it's recorded at a few dB louder than DD - the exact amount? Who the hell cares? No oscilloscope can tell me which sounds better! Adjusted for volume using a SPL meter DTS still whops DD's ass; detail, atmosphere, musicality & presence... take a back seat DD.

Wanna know why BTiLC needs 2 discs? The average bit-rate tops 9 for the entire 99 minutes! Picture quality is very, very good. Allow for the fact that it's 15 years old and it becomes exemplary.

As far as the film goes, can't say I'm a devotee of mid 80's 'fantasy actioneeering' (Mrs Confucius say buy this disc), but good fun all the same.

Not had a chance to view the extra's, but at @ £17.99 the 2-disc set represents value for the film disc alone (with a brilliant commentary by Russel & Carpenter).

    Enjoy.

It's not guaranteed that one gets them early, they do send them as early as possible though. Sometimes with very popular titles they seem to arrive in batches: some get 'em early, some don't; it's fairly random.

Customs ain't a problem, I got Season 3 of the X-Files (over 2 weeks early BTW :D): List price £78.99. I think they post to you from within the UK all the time (all my stuff from them has had UK stamps & postmarks anyhoo) so they avoid the customs. I assume they cover the cost? Whatever....

Well, like many of you, I like to pre-order stuff.

Whenever I have with DE they have always delivered 1-2 weeks ahead of official release dates.

I am sure many others will vouch for this.

    Sorry ONO, I couldn't resist. It's a shame they don't have a 'tongue-in-cheek' Graemlin though...
